Meanwhile there was a plot by the Aramean king to capture the king of Israel. Elisha cut a stick and dropped it in the water and the ax miraculously floated. As they were cutting down trees on the new place an ax fell into the water. Ĭhapter six opened with the story and the company of prophets and how they needed a bigger place of meeting. We should run away from greed and out on the cloak of contentment. It might not make sense to us but we should be obedient. Learning from the story of Naaman, teaches that we should not commonize God's instructions. ![]() Įlisha then cursed Gehazi that he will be leprous with his generation. Elisha reproved Gehazi and all the while he was seeing what Gehazi was doing (he being a grea prophet ). So Gehazi went after Naaman and took the gift lying that his master needed them. Gehazi was not happy with his master as he had not accepted the clothings and sliver brought to him. Then Naaman took sands from Israel to use as a platform to worship God. Afterwards he was healed and he brought gifts to Elisha Meanwhile the girl servant from Israel persuaded him to obey. Naaman later left for Israel and was given instructions by Elisha to take a bath seven times in the river Jordan.Īt first he felt offended and mentioned that there were better rivers in his nation if he needed a bath. This girl told him about Elisha and urged him to meet him for a healing. He on one of his campaigns had raided an Israeli village where he took a girl that was his servant. Naaman the commander in the army of Aram was a leper. We need to grow in faith and fellowship with God. God wants to use us to make a difference in our generation. When we do this we become men and women of authority. As believers we should walk with God with great devotion. That was a miraculous provision.Įlisha was a man of authority. In another story ,Elisha made a food free and safe from poison.įinally a hundred people was fed with twenty loaves of barley bread. But he was restored to life by Elisha again. Later that boy fell ill and died mysteriously. She and the husband provided a place of abode for Elisha. Thereafter, part of the oil was used to pay back the creditors.Īlso a shunamite woman was provided with a son. Jars of oil came out of jars filled with water. A miracle was performed by Elisha the prophet. The late husband was having alot of creditors who were planning to take the two sons as slaves.
